About

What property improvement work includes

Our contractor service brings connected painting and repair tasks into one planned scope. It may include interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet painting, cabinet refacing, and related carpentry work. The agreement follows an in-home meeting where we discuss colors, finishes, repairs, and access. We protect floors, furniture, and nearby surfaces with floor paper, plastic, or carpet coverings. Outcomes depend on the starting surface and the agreed scope. We prepare walls and millwork as needed, then inspect the finished work during a final walkthrough with the lead paint crew member.

Process

How we plan and complete the work

1

Discuss the property and goals

We begin with a free consultation and in-home meeting to review the property, finish preferences, ideas, and work areas.

2

Define the project scope

We prepare a clearly scoped estimate that identifies the planned painting, repairs, carpentry, cabinet work, protection, and cleanup.

3

Prepare surfaces and work areas

We protect nearby property and prepare walls, trim, and millwork before applying paint, stain, or other coatings.

4

Complete the coatings and repairs

Our crew carries out the agreed painting and related carpentry work while maintaining direct communication through the project.

5

Review the finished project

We complete final cleanup and walk through the work with the lead paint crew member before closing the project.

What to prepare before the consultation

A few details help us understand the property, desired finish, and full project scope.

  • List the rooms, exterior surfaces, cabinets, or trim you want addressed.
  • Save paint colors, finish preferences, or reference photos for the consultation.
  • Point out peeling paint, cracks, damaged wood, or areas that need repair.
  • Tell us about access needs for residents, staff, furniture, and work areas.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

Questions about planning painting and repair work

Who provides contractor services for painting and related carpentry?

Thomas J. Painting provides residential and commercial painting, cabinet work, refacing, and related carpentry. We begin with a free consultation and in-home meeting. That discussion helps us understand your goals, inspect the work areas, and define the agreement. Our crew then manages preparation, protection, painting, repairs, cleanup, and the final walkthrough within the agreed scope.

What changes the cost of a painting and carpentry project?

Project cost depends on surface condition, repair needs, materials, finish choices, access, and the number of areas included. Cabinet refacing and related carpentry can change the scope as well. We discuss these factors during the consultation and provide a clearly scoped estimate before work begins. The estimate reflects your property and requested work, not a generic allowance.

What does a painting estimate normally include?

A painting estimate identifies the agreed surfaces, preparation, repairs, protection, coatings, cleanup, and related carpentry. It may also describe cabinet work or refacing when those services fit the project. We review the scope with you before work begins, so the planned deliverables are clear. Ask us to address any room, trim, cabinet, or exterior area you want included.

How should I prepare my home before the crew arrives?

Home preparation starts with access to the rooms, cabinets, trim, or exterior areas included in the agreement. Move fragile items and identify furniture or landscaping that needs special discussion. We protect work areas with floor paper, plastic, or carpet coverings. During the consultation, we’ll explain any site preparation tied to your specific scope.

Can one project include painting and carpentry?

Yes, one project can include painting and related carpentry when those tasks fit the agreed scope. We review damaged trim, millwork, cabinets, siding, and other surfaces during the in-home meeting. The estimate identifies which repairs and coatings are included. This helps you decide whether cabinet painting, refacing, or carpentry belongs with the larger painting plan.

What happens if old paint or wallpaper is on the surface?

Old paint or wallpaper can require removal before a new finish is applied. We assess the surface, remove old paint, wallpaper, or popcorn ceilings when included, and prepare the area before refinishing. The condition underneath affects the next steps. We explain the needed preparation during the consultation and include the defined work in the agreement.

Key Points About Contractor

  • Surface preparation comes before paint, stain, or other coatings.
  • Cabinet work, refacing, and related carpentry can form part of one defined scope.

When Customers Call Us About Contractor

1

Whole-Property Painting Decisions

A homeowner may want new interior and exterior colors but also notice worn trim or damaged millwork. The main decision is whether related repairs belong in the same scope as painting. During the in-home consultation, we review each surface, discuss finish preferences, and prepare an agreement that separates the needed work clearly.

2

Cabinet Finish Needs A New Plan

Cabinet doors may look dated while the boxes remain useful, so painting and refacing deserve different checks. We review the existing finish, door condition, and surrounding surfaces before suggesting the right scope. Bring your color ideas to the consultation, and we’ll explain how preparation and carpentry affect the finished cabinet work.

3

Occupied Commercial Work Areas

A business may need refreshed walls or trim while staff and customers still use the property. Access, surface protection, and the order of work matter before painting begins. We discuss the active areas during the consultation, define the scope, and plan how the crew will protect floors and nearby property during preparation and cleanup.

Our Other Services

Cabinet PaintingOutdated cabinets can make a kitchen feel tired, even when the layout works well. We prepare doors, drawer fronts, and cabinet boxes with degreasing, sanding, and bonding primer before applying a smooth finish.
Cool Roof Coating ApplicationA weathered roof surface may need renewed protection without immediate replacement. We prepare compatible roofing materials and apply elastomeric cool roof coating evenly across the surface, producing a sealed, reflective finish.
CarpenterHomeowners with damaged trim or door casings need more than a color change. We repair baseboards, window trim, and interior woodwork before priming and painting, leaving clean lines and sound surfaces throughout the property.
Deck builderA worn deck can make outdoor space feel unsafe and unfinished. We build or repair deck boards, railings, and stair stringers, creating a solid structure ready for paint or stain.
Paint stripping serviceOld paint can hide peeling layers, rough edges, and damaged surfaces. Paint stripping removes failing coatings with scrapers, sanding, and suitable chemical strippers, leaving woodwork ready for proper repair and primer.
Interior House PaintingFresh interior color can change how a room feels every day. We prepare walls, doors, and millwork with careful masking, surface repairs, and primer before applying an even finish that suits your home.
