Contractor work for room additions in Bothell

This page serves property owners planning finish work around a room addition, remodel, repair, or property refresh. The main decision is whether the requested work fits painting and related carpentry or needs another trade first.

We handle interior and exterior painting, cabinet painting and refacing, surface repairs, millwork preparation, protection, and cleanup. We don't present painting as structural construction, electrical work, plumbing, or foundation work.

A new space often needs a finish plan that connects new walls with existing rooms. We review the requested areas during an in-home meeting, discuss colors and surfaces, and set out the agreed work before the project begins.

  • Confirm which rooms, walls, trim, cabinets, and exterior surfaces need work.
  • Identify drywall, wood, millwork, and surface repair needs before painting.
  • Discuss colors, finishes, protection, cleanup, and the final walkthrough.
  • Separate structural, electrical, plumbing, and other trade work from painting scope.

Process

How we plan and complete the painting work

1

Discuss the property and goals

We meet in the home or property to discuss the rooms, surfaces, colors, repairs, cabinets, and related carpentry requested.

2

Set the agreed work scope

We prepare an agreement that identifies the painting areas, finish work, repairs, protection needs, and cleanup included.

3

Protect floors and nearby surfaces

We cover work areas with floor paper, plastic, or carpet coverings before preparation and painting begin.

4

Prepare walls and millwork

We complete the surface preparation and repairs needed for the agreed walls, trim, millwork, cabinets, and other painted surfaces.

5

Apply the planned finish

Our crew paints the prepared surfaces and completes the related carpentry included in the agreement.

6

Walk through the finished work

The lead paint crew member joins the final inspection and walkthrough before the project is closed.

What to confirm before choosing this painting contractor

Confirm the work boundary

Room additions, remodeling, and finish work often overlap. We define the painting and related carpentry scope before work begins. Structural framing, electrical work, plumbing, and foundation changes are outside this painting service.

Review surface preparation

Walls and millwork may need repair, sanding, filling, or other preparation before coatings are applied. We prepare surfaces and protect nearby areas in accordance with PDCA standards.

Use the in-home consultation

A free consultation lets us see the property, discuss your ideas, and review the surfaces in person. That meeting gives the agreement a clearer connection to the actual rooms and finishes.

Check credentials and process

We are licensed and insured painting professionals. Our process also includes work-area protection, project communication, cleanup, and a final inspection.

What planned contractor work changes for the property

A defined scope helps separate painting from structural and other trade work.

Careful preparation gives walls, trim, millwork, and cabinets a better surface for paint.

Protected floors and furnishings help keep active work areas orderly.

A final walkthrough gives you a chance to review the finished areas with the lead crew member.

One consultation brings colors, repairs, surface protection, and cleanup into the same discussion.

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

Questions customers ask about this painting work

What home improvement projects can you manage?

Room additions can include painting, cabinet work, finish work, and related carpentry when those tasks fit the agreed scope. Structural repairs, framing, electrical work, plumbing, and foundation work need separate trades. We review the property during a free consultation and explain which requested tasks fit our painting service.

How do you match new walls with existing rooms?

Color, sheen, texture, and surface condition guide the match between new and existing rooms. We inspect the walls, trim, and millwork before setting the paint scope. A color that looks right on a new wall may read differently beside older finishes, so we discuss the desired result during the in-home meeting.

Which home steps should I finish before painting starts?

Furniture, wall décor, access paths, and personal items should be discussed before interior painting begins. We explain the protection needs during the consultation. Our crew protects agreed work areas with floor paper, plastic, or carpet coverings, but the property owner should confirm which items will be moved or stored.

When should related carpentry be added to the agreement?

Related carpentry belongs in the agreement when trim, millwork, cabinets, or other surfaces need repair before painting. We inspect those areas during the in-home meeting and separate repair tasks from coating work. Structural changes, framing, plumbing, and electrical work are outside this painting scope.

Why does surface preparation affect the finished paint?

Surface preparation affects adhesion, coverage, texture, and the look of the final coat. We address agreed repairs and prepare walls and millwork in accordance with PDCA standards. The decision is whether the surface needs repair, filling, sanding, or other preparation before paint is applied.

How can I compare a painting contractor with a handyman?

A painting contractor manages coating work, surface preparation, protection, and paint cleanup as a defined project. A handyman may handle smaller repairs, but the scope and finish process can differ. We explain the painting and related carpentry included in the agreement, while structural and trade work remains outside our scope.

What should I confirm before agreeing to the work?

The agreement should identify the surfaces, repairs, finish choices, protection, cleanup, and final walkthrough. We review those items during the free consultation and in-home meeting. You should also confirm which room addition or remodeling tasks belong to another trade before painting work is scheduled.
