Cabinet Painting in Burien, Washington for Surface Problems

Cabinet painting suits owners who want to refresh cabinets without treating every project as a full replacement. The work may cover doors, drawer fronts, face frames, side panels, and related millwork after the existing finish is checked.

The buyer decision starts with the surface condition. Poor adhesion, brush marks, drips, chipping, and uneven color each point to a different preparation need. We use the free consultation to review the cabinets, discuss the desired finish, and decide whether painting, repairs, or refacing fits the job.

The service page for cabinet painting explains the broader work, while this page focuses on preventing finish problems in Burien. The local detail does not change the painting method, but the property type and cabinet condition still shape the scope.

  • Inspect doors, drawer fronts, frames, edges, and side panels.
  • Check for loose or failing coatings before painting.
  • Identify repairs that affect the final finish.
  • Confirm which cabinet parts will be painted or refaced.
  • Plan floor, counter, appliance, and nearby surface protection.

A final walkthrough gives you a chance to review the finished cabinet work with the crew lead.

How We Complete Cabinet Painting

1

Review the cabinet condition

We inspect doors, drawer fronts, frames, edges, profiles, and side panels during the free in-home consultation.

2

Set the repair and finish scope

We discuss surface problems, color goals, painting, refacing, and related carpentry before developing an agreement for the work.

3

Protect nearby surfaces

Our crew uses floor paper, plastic, or carpet coverings to protect the work area during preparation and painting.

4

Prepare the cabinet surfaces

We address the preparation and repairs needed for the agreed cabinet parts before applying the finish.

5

Paint and inspect the work

We complete the agreed painting, clean the area, and review the finished work during a final walkthrough with the lead paint crew member.

How We Approach Cabinet Surface Decisions

Read the existing cabinet finish

Surface condition guides the work plan. We check coating failure, edges, corners, and exposed millwork before setting the scope.

Separate paint work from refacing

Painting fits sound cabinet parts that need a new finish. Refacing is a better discussion when visible parts need replacement or a changed surface.

Keep the work area protected

Floor paper, plastic, or carpet coverings help protect the room while our crew prepares and paints cabinet surfaces.

Know when painting is not enough

Painting is the wrong job when cabinet parts need replacement, major carpentry, or a new cabinet layout beyond the agreed painting scope.

365 Painting Solutions did an excellent job on painting the entire interior of our house. The whole crew is so helpful and the process was so easy. We can't say enough about how thrilled we are with the end result. Jeff and Lorena did a great job helping us pick the perfect color! Efrain and the crew were a pleasure to have in the house and the careful workmanship was amazing.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

Questions About Cabinet Painting And Finish Problems

How do you decide whether cabinets need refacing?

Cabinet refacing fits parts that need a changed visible surface or replacement beyond a new coat of paint. We review the doors, drawer fronts, frames, and side panels during the consultation. Painting remains a fit when the cabinet parts can support the planned finish. Related carpentry work can also be included when the agreed scope calls for it.

Which cabinet parts need the closest inspection?

Cabinet edges, corners, profiles, and repaired areas need close inspection because they show finish faults quickly. Flat panels and frames also need review for loose coatings, residue, and uneven color. We check each visible part that falls within the agreed scope. The findings guide preparation, repairs, painting, or a refacing discussion.

When should I request a cabinet painting quote?

A cabinet painting quote makes sense when worn color, chipping, drips, or uneven coverage affects the room. Thomas J. Painting begins with a free consultation and in-home meeting. Bring your finish ideas and point out problem areas during the visit. We can then discuss the cabinet parts, preparation, protection, and related work needed.

Why do cabinet surfaces show brush marks?

Brush marks often remain when the surface, paint application, or finish work does not produce an even coat. We inspect flat panels, edges, profiles, and repaired spots to find where the marks show. The consultation covers the desired finish and the preparation needed before painting. Nearby counters, floors, and appliances receive protection during the work.

What should I prepare before the in-home consultation for Cabinet Painting?

The consultation works best when you identify the cabinet parts you want changed and the finish you prefer. Clear access to the cabinets helps us inspect doors, drawers, frames, and nearby surfaces. Photos can help explain the request, but the in-home meeting gives us the needed view of the actual condition. We then discuss the work scope and quote.
